The Furniture Joint is a full service re-upholstery studio located in the heart of NoLita in Manhattan. With a 4300 square foot space they offer a wide range of services from re-upholstery, refinishing and antique restoration to custom-built furniture and millwork. There is a showroom that features a sampling of custom designs, draperies, shades and refinishing.

The studio has a warm and friendly atmosphere making people feel welcome. From the moment you enter the studio you are able to view current work in progress being performed by their highly skilled and qualified craftsmen. You can visit the showroom to see a variety of custom-built pieces or to discuss your own individual projects. You can also browse through our extensive fabric books including samples from Robert Allen, Kravet, Lee Jofa, Fabricut and Scalamandre to name a few.
Most recently owner, Matthew Haly, has completed writing a book on upholstery projects scheduled for release in October 2008 by Pottercraft-Random House. He has also been a contributing editor for Domino Magazine and his upholstery work has most recently been featured in Interior Design and Elle Decor.
Located at 35 Great Jones Street on the 2nd floor (between Bowery & Lafayette Street). The studio hours are 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday - Friday and Saturday from 8:00am - 12:00noon or by appointment. Please call ahead on Saturdays.
